50mm Large Type Tow Bar Replacement Red Ratchet Cog for Land Rover Discovery 3/4

The tow bar overhaul kits have been top-rated but we had some requests for the “red part” so we have made it available for sale.

Land Rover doesn't sell this part separately so we manufactured it – otherwise, you would need to buy a complete tow hitch assembly!

It is a companion part to our refurb kit which includes a new lock mechanism that interlocks with this part to form a ratchet – see our part number TOW532 to purchase the refurb kit.

This replaces the red ratchet cog on the tow hitch of the Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 (Please read below as 2 types of lock assembly fitted to the Discovery 3&4).

The item has been 3D printed in PA2200 Nylon high-end industry standard due to its accuracy and strength.

Included in the kit is:

• 1 x Replacement ratchet cog
• 2 x New fitting bolts

Please note: 2 types of lock assembly are fitted to the Discovery 3 & 4 – small or large type [ This part is suitable for the LARGE type ]. Please check which you have before ordering (see photos).

If there is any damage to your tow bar/mechanism you should not use it – serious damage can arise from using a faulty tow bar!

It is not a genuine Land Rover item (it is unavailable from Land Rover).

Which Vehicles will this support?

• It will support all Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 (all models from 2005 -2016 with the LARGE type lock)
