Suspension Air Tank with Head Impact Crash Criteria for Land Rover Discovery 4

Suspension Air Tank with Head Impact Crash Criteria for Land Rover Discovery 4

This is a genuine Land Rover air tank for the Land Rover Discovery 4.

These pressurized air tanks are part of the air suspension system on the Discovery.

According to the Land Rover parts catalogue, there are 2 tanks available for the later Discovery 4’s (this item, and part number TNK070).

The 2 tanks are described as ‘with head impact crash criteria’ and ‘less head impact crash criteria’.

The noticeable difference is that this item has an extra plate attached.

Due to their location underneath the vehicle, they are prone to becoming corroded (this was certainly the case on our vehicle!).

The air tank is located on the left-hand side of the vehicle next to the sill – it’s easy to see and assess its condition.

We decided to replace ours rather than wait for it to fail and lose pressure on the road.

We will also supply you with 4x stainless steel bolts and washers (not supplied by Land Rover).

Check out our fitting video below where we replace the air tank on our project Discovery 3 (we fit part number TNK070 in the video).

This is a brand new, genuine Land Rover part number LR062330.
