Proximity Locking for Range Rover Evoque L551

Proximity Locking Feature

Upgrade your daily driving experience with Proximity Locking. This intelligent feature enables your vehicle to automatically unlock and lock based on the distance of your smart key. For 2023+ models, you can simply walk away to secure the car or approach to unlock it without ever pressing a button.

How the Approach to Unlocking Works

The approach unlocking feature is designed for seamless entry. When your smart key is detected within 2 meters of the vehicle, the system automatically initiates the following sequence:

• The doors on the side of the vehicle you are approaching unlock.
• The door handles automatically deploy.
• Pulling a deployed handle completes the unlocking and disarms the alarm system.
• The hazard warning lights flash twice, and the door mirrors unfold to confirm entry.

How Walk-Away Locking Works

To ensure your vehicle is secure when you leave, the walk-away locking feature automatically locks the doors and tailgate when the following conditions are met:

• The driver’s door has been opened and closed to exit the vehicle.
• The smart key moves beyond 2 meters from the vehicle.
• The smart key is detected outside of the vehicle for approximately 6 minutes.
