Proximity Locking for Land Rover Discovery 5 L462

What is Proximity Locking?

Proximity Locking is a convenient feature that automatically locks and unlocks your vehicle by sensing the location of your key fob. You never have to press a button.

How It Works:

Approach to Unlock

When you approach your vehicle with the key, it automatically detects you within 2 meters (about 6.5 feet). The doors on your side unlock, the door handles extend, and the mirrors unfold. Just pull the handle to open the door.

Walk Away to Lock

When you walk away from the vehicle, it will automatically lock itself once the key is detected beyond the 2-meter range. For safety, it also locks if the key remains outside the vehicle for about 6 minutes.

This advanced Proximity Locking system is a standard feature on 2023+ models and can often be upgraded on older vehicles.
