This is a side gearbox Molle plate for the Land Rover Defender L663.

So, what is a MOLLE Plate? MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.

It is a modular system that allows for various accessories (a system developed and widely used in the armed forces).

This molle plate mounts inside the side gearbox (where the net is) and will give you a handy and easily accessible mounting point for gear pouches/tools/torches/lights/camping equipment, etc.

There are many molle-compatible bags and pouches on the market which can be used with this item.

The plate itself is made in the UK from 3mm aluminum (so it's lightweight) and powder coated in a satin green finish (which is a pretty close match to Land Rover's Grasmere Green – as used on the 75th anniversary) or a Satin Black Finish.

You will receive a fitting kit with the plate (you'll need to remove the box from your vehicle to fit this plate).

The vertical slots are compatible with the Ikea Skadis range of accessories (hangers, hooks, bungee cords, etc).

This item is compatible with our folding picnic table clips – part number LRDI062.

These are custom-made in the UK under the HSX name.

Fitting details

• Please note that the supplied fitting kit is for the conventional mounting method on the right-hand side. If you have mounted your box to a molle plate you may need to source some longer M6 bolts.
