ARB Twin Compressor Mounting Bracket Kit for Land Rover Defender L663
This custom-designed mounting plate kit is for the ARB twin onboard compressor.
This kit allows you to mount the ARB compressor in the void behind the spare wheel on the rear door of the Defender L663.
We have manufactured a custom 3D-printed compact filter housing included in this kit.
The compact filter housing replaces the top ARB housing (you need to swap over the filter element) and allows clearance for the spare wheel support bracket.
This offers a solution if you are unable to install the genuine Land Rover compressor in the loadspace area (if you have a PHEV[Plug-in Hybrid] or a 90 model then you cannot fit the Land Rover compressor).
The spare wheel carrier is the same across all models of the Defender L663, so this will fit 90/110/130.
In this kit, you will receive:
- Main Mounting Plate in Powder Coated Textured Black
- 2x Aluminium Spacers
- Foam spacer/vibration pad
- 8x Fixing Bolts
- Custom 3D printed compact filter housing.
Note: The output thread size of the ARB twin compressor is 1/4″ NPT – we found that an extension helped with access through the wheel center.
The mounting bracket is made from 3mm aluminum (made in the UK) and powder-coated in a textured black finish.
Not cutting or drilling is needed to fit this.
Once installed you need to make your electrical connections to power the compressor.
The compressor is not included – you need to purchase the ARB Twin On-Board compressor separately.
Mounting the compressor externally is good for noise and aids compressor cooling.
The compressor mount is close to the upper air filter so some modification of the ARB air filter may be needed – we are working on a revised air filter casing to solve this issue.
