Aftermarket Front Aluminium Skid Plate for Land Rover Defender L663

This listing is for an aftermarket front undershield / tow eye cover for the Land Rover Defender L663.
This is an easy-fit design to utilize the existing cross member rather than removing the front bumper and replacing it like you do with the Land Rover version.
The specially designed brackets clamp onto the cross member to give the mounting point extra what you need for the metal cover.
The great benefit of fitting this undershield is that it has ‘always ready' access to the front towing eye – so you don't need to fiddle around unscrewing fixings and removing the standard plastic tow eye cover in a time of need!
This under shield will also give you additional protection for the underside of your vehicle when off-roading as it acts as a front “skid plate”.
We have test-fitted this item to ‘Non-stick Nick's' Defender (thanks Nick) – see below fitting guide video.
The actual plate is made from heavy gauge anodized aluminum and finished in Black (see our other listing to purchase this item in Silver).

You will receive all the brackets and fixings needed to complete this project.
This item would be great paired with a rear towing loop upgrade so you have ‘always ready' towing points front and rear of the vehicle – see item TOW438 to purchase these.

Tip: How about painting your front tow eye hook before refitting the metal cover red/yellow/blue?

Fitting side note: Thank you to our customer Colin Balmforth who informed us that he can install this item successfully without cutting away as much plastic as shown in the video below (look at around the 7-minute mark). See Colin's photo which shows the areas he cut 2 holes to allow access to the bracket clamp bolts.
